How do I find and buy a ticket?+

Browse Discover or search by artist, venue or city, then open the event page. Use the tier steppers to choose how many of each ticket you want and tap Get tickets. You can pay by card, bank transfer or USSD - your tickets are held for 10 minutes while you complete payment, so grab water and finish before the timer runs out.

What does "all-in pricing" mean?+

The price shown on the card and event page is the price you pay - service fees are already baked in, so there are no surprise charges at the last step. The only line added at checkout is 7.5% VAT, which is always shown clearly before you confirm.

Where does my ticket go after I pay?+

Every ticket is delivered to both your WhatsApp number and your email as a signed QR code, and it also lives permanently under My tickets in your DOT ID. You never need to screenshot or forward anything - just open My tickets at the gate.

Which payment methods can I use?+

Card, bank transfer and USSD are all supported through our processors (Paystack, Flutterwave and Zenith GlobalPay). We never store your full card number - payment details go straight to the gateway over encrypted transport.

Can I buy a free ticket?+

Yes. Free events cost nothing to attend and nothing to run - you still reserve a signed QR so the organizer can manage capacity and check you in at the door.

At the gate
Getting scanned in fast, even when the network drops.

How do I get scanned in?+

Open My tickets, turn your screen brightness up, and hold the QR steady under the scanner. A valid ticket shows an Admitted result in under a second. Each QR is single-use, so once you're in it can't be scanned again.

What if there's no signal at the venue?+

Scanning works fully offline. The scanner app validates the signed QR on the device itself, queues each result locally, and syncs to your dashboard the moment the network returns - so the door keeps moving even in a basement with zero bars.

Why was my ticket rejected?+

The scanner distinguishes four results: Admitted, Duplicate (already scanned), Restricted (wrong tier or gate) and Wrong event. A duplicate usually means the QR was already used - if you transferred or were sent an old copy, the earlier QR is void. Show the ticket in My tickets, which always holds the current valid QR.

Do I need to print anything?+

No. The QR on your phone is the ticket. Printing is fine as a backup, but a screenshot of a transferred ticket may be a void QR - always trust the live one in My tickets.

Selling & payouts
Running an event, scanner staff, analytics and getting paid.

How do I create and publish an event?+

From your dashboard, tap Add event and work through basics, ticket tiers and table templates (or build custom ones), lineup and programme, then publish. Your event page and shareable /event link go live instantly and you can keep editing after publish.

How do scanner staff get access?+

Create scanner staff in your dashboard and each one receives a pair code (e.g. BRN-4821). They enter that code in the scanner app to pair their device, scoped only to the events and gates you assign - no access to your sales, payouts or attendee data.

What are the fees?+

One flat fee per paid ticket, no monthly bills or setup cost. Individuals pay 5% + ₦100 per ticket; verified organizers pay 3.5% + ₦100. Free events are completely free to run.

How and when do I get paid?+

Add your bank account under Payouts and request a payout anytime - most land the same day. You can watch sales in real time, see best-selling tiers per event, look up any attendee, and export invoices as PDF.

Can I track promoters and commissions?+

Yes. Issue each promoter a unique code, and the dashboard attributes every sale to the right plug automatically - no spreadsheets, and commissions are calculated for you.

Account & DOT ID
One identity for buying and selling - and how to manage it.
4
What is a DOT ID?+

Your DOT ID is a single account that covers everything - buying tickets, selling events, and scanning at the gate. Sign in once and your tickets, orders and (if you sell) your dashboard all live under the same identity.

How do I keep my tickets safe?+

Your tickets are tied to your DOT ID, not to a screenshot. Even if you lose your phone, sign in on any device and open My tickets to see the current signed QR for every order.

How do I export or delete my data?+

From Settings you can export or permanently delete your DOT ID and everything attached to it. You can also email privacy@dot360.co and we'll handle the request.

Who can see my details as an attendee?+

Only the organizer of an event you bought into can see you on their attendee list, and only for that event. Scanner staff see a pass/fail result at the gate - not your personal data.

Refunds & transfers
Cancelled shows, moving tickets, and reselling safely.
4
What happens if an event is cancelled or moved?+

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, eligible tickets refund automatically to your original payment method - you don't need to chase anyone. You'll get the update on WhatsApp and email.

How do I transfer a ticket to a friend?+

Open the ticket in My tickets and send it to your friend's DOT ID or contact, free of charge. The moment the transfer completes, the old QR is voided and a fresh signed QR is issued to the new holder - so an old screenshot won't scan.

Can I get a refund if I just change my mind?+

Refund eligibility is set by the event seller, since the ticket is a licence to attend issued by them. Cancelled or moved events always refund automatically; for other cases, check the event's refund policy or submit a ticket and we'll help.

Is reselling allowed?+

Transfer tickets freely inside the app - that's the safe way to hand a ticket to someone else. We don't allow fake scarcity, bot-buying or off-platform ticket fraud, and voided QRs from old transfers protect buyers from being sold a dead ticket.
